Secure checkout • Instant delivery • 24/7 support
Why Choose a Wildcard SSL Certificate?
Ideal for sites with many subdomains — SaaS apps, stores, portals and staging environments that grow over time.
Unlimited Subdomains
Secure www, mail, shop, blog, api and every other first-level subdomain under one certificate — add new ones any time at no extra cost.
Instant Activation
Domain-validated and issued in minutes, so you can roll out HTTPS across your whole subdomain set right away.
256-bit Encryption
Strong 2048-bit RSA keys and SHA-256 signatures protect every subdomain with the same bank-grade encryption.
Simpler Management
One certificate to renew, one to reissue. Cut certificate sprawl and avoid surprise subdomain expirations.
Free Unlimited Reissues
Reissue the wildcard whenever you add servers or rotate keys — included free for the life of the certificate.
24/7 Expert Support
Our SSL specialists help you generate the CSR and install across multiple servers, around the clock.
Wildcard SSL vs Multi-Domain SSL
Choose wildcard for many subdomains of one domain; choose multi-domain for several different domains.
Wildcard SSL
Secures one domain + unlimited first-level subdomains (*.example.com). Best when you keep adding subdomains under a single brand.
Get Wildcard SSLMulti-Domain SSL
Secures several distinct domains (example.com, example.net, mybrand.io) on one SAN certificate. Best for agencies and portfolios.

Wildcard SSL FAQ
Common questions about securing subdomains with wildcard SSL
What does a wildcard SSL certificate cover?
A wildcard SSL certificate secures a domain and all of its first-level subdomains with a single certificate. For example, *.example.com covers www.example.com, mail.example.com, shop.example.com, and any other subdomain you add later — no need to buy or reinstall a new certificate each time.
How many subdomains can a wildcard SSL secure?
Unlimited. One wildcard certificate for *.yourdomain.com protects every first-level subdomain under that domain, so you can add new subdomains at any time without extra cost or re-issuance.
Does a wildcard certificate cover the root domain too?
Yes. Our wildcard certificates secure both the bare root domain (example.com) and all first-level subdomains (*.example.com), so visitors are protected whether or not they type the www prefix.
Does wildcard SSL cover multi-level subdomains?
A standard wildcard covers one level (*.example.com). Deeper levels such as app.dev.example.com need a wildcard issued for *.dev.example.com. If you need many separate domains instead of subdomains, a Multi-Domain (SAN) certificate is the better fit.
How fast is a DV wildcard certificate issued?
Our Domain Validated wildcard certificates are issued within minutes of completing domain control validation — typically 5 to 15 minutes — and can be installed immediately with full 256-bit encryption.
Wildcard SSL vs buying individual certificates — which is cheaper?
If you run more than two or three subdomains, a wildcard is almost always cheaper and far easier to manage than separate single-domain certificates, because you renew and reissue just one certificate for the whole subdomain set.
